TYPICAL USES OF TANI BLANKET INSULATION

TANI Division specializes in blankets for valves, flanges, expansion joints and other piping units where insulation needs to be routinely removed for inspection and maintenance where insulation is hard to keep on equipment because of environmental conditions. Some examples

  • Gas or steam turbines for processing of power operation
  • Throttle/stop/control valves
  • Cyclone burners
  • Generator sets
  • Exhaust manifolds and exhaust pipes for marine engines
    and mining vehicles
  • Flow meters
  • Flanged or welded valves
  • Inspection points on high pressure pipes
  • Heat exchangers and channel heads
  • Stress relieving
  • Acoustical blankets for fans, blowers, compressors,
    and high-pressure hydraulic systems
  • Expansion joints
  • Flanges
  • Manway access doors
ACOUSTICAL VALUES

TANI Division insulation blankets offer major benefits for noise abatement just as they do in thermal applications

That’s because an 11-pound density fiberglass that used in TANI blankets has excellent Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) ratings which yield superb acoustical and thermal performance (See Chart Below)

The needled fiberglass that also comes without organic binders, so it will not compact or shake down in applications where vibration is encountered

When used with acoustically-tested coverings, removable pads and blankets, a TANI Division insulation system can significantly reduce noise emitted from high pressure valves, compressors, and other equipment.

NRC RATINGS OF 11-POUND DENSITY
FIBERGLASS MAT
ONE LAYER 1-INCH MAT……..NRC 0 80
TWO LAYERS 1-INCH MAT……NRC 0 84
THREE LAYERS 1-INCH MAT…NRC 0 82
